2 Po’ Boys BBQ

2′ Po Boys BBQ began in 2013 as Boudreaux BBQ. In 2013, in the small town called Natchitoches Louisiana, the IBCA BBQ association was hosting a local contest with 37 competitors paying out $5,000. We decided “Why not! Sounds like a fun time!”… So a few hundred dollars later, we realized these guys are serious about their competition BBQ!!! Long story short., we did not receive any final table calls and was near the bottom in all placements! ‘

The following year, 2014, we practiced and competed in the Natchitoches contest again. We used all different types of rubs, trying anything! We were shooting in the dark and had no clue what we were doing or what to buy. After the year long process, we still did not receive a final table call, but it did not matter, we were excited and wanted to compete! After years of learning, the calls finally came.

In 2019, a move to Texas was implemented, and soon after 2 Po’ Boys BBQ was formed, as Boudreaux BBQ finally had a full time partner / brother. It was only fitting that we bring Po’ into the picture as we are “Poor” in the bbq world, often showing up with a U-Haul and a 10foot canopy…. and Po’ as in a Po-Boy from our Louisiana heritage.
Since forming 2 Po’ Boys BBQ, we have turned several top 10 calls, and top 10 overall’s throughout Louisiana and Texas!
